"I stayed here for 4 nights and overall had a mixed experience.
First of all, the team are genuinely lovely! Everyone I interacted with was friendly, welcoming and clearly trying their best. This really stood out and made a positive difference throughout my stay. The location is also excellent, very central and walkable to everything and the price is very reasonable, which initially makes it feel like a great find and the reason I stayed for the whole 4 nights.
The decor has clearly been thought about too, on the surface it’s chic and it feels like the property has a lot of potential. It seems to be a weird building (possibly an office conversion), which gives it some quirks.
However, unfortunately there are some consistent issues that let it down.
Cleanliness was a concern. In my initial room “Mixteca” there was visible dirt and hair on the floor and cobwebs in the bathroom. The bathroom mats were also not clean and overall it didn’t feel well maintained. I spoke to the person at reception (via WhatsApp because there was a language barrier) and was quickly moved to another room “Cañada” after raising this, which I appreciated, but some issues did still remained.
The biggest ongoing issue was the bathroom in both rooms. There was a strong sewage/drain smell, particularly in the mornings, which made it unpleasant to use. Water pressure is also very poor (if you have long hair… good luck!) and hot water takes several minutes to come through."
"Totally fell in love with this hotel. Once you enter it’s peaceful and calm, with a beautiful courtyard restaurant and another courtyard open to the sky. Our room was comfortable and the bathroom was clean and newly renovated. Breakfast each day was a different menu. Highly recommend!"
"Great location the reason why I am giving 4 stars it’s because of the beds we stayed 2 nights I can not imagine have to sleep more days on that bed. It is a very cute place I would recommend it to my friends "
"For me, this is a convenient stop when I do not need to be in downtown. Simple but provides parking on the spot. Once we had a meal, and it was good. For the price, it is great."
