"I managed to get the last parking space available fortunately. The hotel is a mix of old and new. The older part is pleasant enough but the new rooms more recently built in a separate building are excellent. The food at The Burton is good. No complaints whatsoever. The thing that stood out though was the staff. They were all so helpful and welcoming. From the young lady who had just started at the hotel to the manager Jana, they were all exceptional."

"Staff were very welcoming, room was clean and well kept, with tea/coffee making facilities and toiletries. They catered for my needs as a vegetarian - the food served in the pub is excellent and the Guinness is well kept! The staff fitted breakfast requirements around my need to catch particular trains. " We stayed in room 17 , the room was decorated in keeping with the theme of the hotel. I was so excited to celebrate my partner’s birthday with at the hotel which I made the staff aware of but nothing was provided to acknowledge this at all. Our room was so cold in the evening and when I told staff they brought us a portable heater. Our bed was whooped on one side. The springs were complete gone. The breakfast and lounge area was the highlight of our stay. It was very good. Overall I would say for the price being charged the hotel needs an upgrade. "
