I stayed here with my spouse and teen for a an overnight trip to Coimbra. We found the hotel to be spotless and within a 30 minute walk to the attractions at the university with restaurants and a supermarket nearby. I would stay again.

An average hotel situated in a small new commercial district on the outskirts of Coimbra. If the weather is good, the city centre is easy to reach on foot, although you will have to go through some seedy and rundown parts of the town. In bad weather, you will have to rely on the town's chaotic and badly-run public transport. The hotel is located away from main thoroughfare and is quiet. Rooms are of a decent size, and with functioning air conditioning, which can be very handy, as temperatures in Coimbra can reach 38°. Breakfast is very good, but highly processed ham should not be referred to as bacon.

Great service by staff, especially at the reception desk and bar. Breakfast not best quality, even though they offer a variety (i.e coffee at expresso machine and “bacon” not good). Location is a 20+ minute walk from main attractions such us pedestrian bridge Pedro and Ines. To go to university of Coimbra definitely need a taxi, but you can come back on foot as long as it is still daylight.
