A real surprise. Looks dated from the outside but looks are deceptive. Modern and nice feel and the public areas and rooms are spotless. Friendly staff and breakfast was plentiful, hot and tasty. Highly recommend.

Ed Sheeran stop over

Had an amazing stay with my cousin to see Ed Sheeran. Arrived early and was able to use the leisure facilities while we waited for room to be available. Slept really well.

The staff were very friendly, especially the redhead who works in the restaurant, such a nice girl. The bedroom could’ve been cleaned better in some areas, but the bedding was clean so that was the most important part for me. Otherwise I enjoyed my stay and recommend the diner across the road for a decent meal out.

The twin room were tight and not enough for 2 adults, 2 children as stated on the booking with small beds Otherwise friendly staff and nice time we had for a family friendly adventure

We were given 4 beds having booked as 6 people. Also I assumed to be given interconnecting rooms but I wasn’t given that. I was told at the reception that I had to book that in advance which I didn’t know. Overall I wasn’t happy with the stay. The breakfast buffet was basic. There was no option for non pork sausages/ bacon. There was no hot milk. No hot porridge. The beds were comfortable but linen was dirty, had dirty marks on them. The duvets felt strange like they were smaller than the beds sheets. Overall not worth the price. Not family friendly suitable for couples maybe

Nice hotel, shame the pool was closed

The rooms are nice and comfortable. My main disappointment was that the pool was closed for our stay, with no notice of this when booking. As this was the reason for choosing this hotel over others, this was very disappointing.

Staff were lovely, no shower gel in en-suite, and breakfast food was dreadful. The breakfast food appeared to have been under the hot lamp for a few hours. The scrambled eggs were cremated as was the bacon, grilled tomato, beans and mushrooms. I had onion on the hash brown (no onion on the menu or buffet trays, so where was that from ?). All in all, not great :(

Learning the hard way

The hotel was great but its actual location was 5 miles away from the position shown on the hotels.com map. We suggest you check it thoroughly before booking or you will need to spend a fortune on taxis to get to and from the city centre.

Unaware of pool closure

It was a nice hotel but our stay was impacted by the pool closure as we had specifically booked the hotel for the use of the pool and were not informed before our stay that it would be closed. If this wasn’t the case we wouldn’t have a bad thing to say

Customer service second to none...

Customer service was excellent, bar staff were excelle t.....their willingness to please was way above standard.....unfortunately the restaurant let them down on this stay as they messed up our meal feom staryer to main course, but overall was still a lovely stay...would definitely come again

No food and sleeping in concrete

Arrived at 8:05 after long day, dropped bags in room and went straight to restaurant as food stopped at 8:30. Sat down at 8:10 and grumpy bar man refused food. Had to order in takeaway. Beds like concrete, hotel in state if renovation. Will not be back

I arrived at the property on 30/3/24 at around 3am as I decided not to return to London with the persons I arrived with. I was stranded.
