"This place is a little hidden Jim. It was quiet really super private heated pool. The beds were super comfortable. The rooms were extra extra clean coffee machines bath. I would definitely come back to visit again thanks for the great time."
"Older, rustic rooms but very clean, well maintained and a great location. Unique property with kids fishing pond and a really cool gathering/BBQ area where they have bonfires in the evening."
"The room was spic N span! The staff was so helpful, courteous and accommodating. Due to no air conditioning & opening the window, the ceiling fan was just not enough for cooling. I would recommend making the wall unit a duel combo making it AC & Heat. Besides excellent lodging accommodations, the recommendations for restaurants were excellent - the Stonefly offers the best fine dining. For drinks and simple meals, the Cutthroat Restaurant offers very good food items. We experienced a great get-away for two nights in Markleeville and I highly recommend it to all travelers of all ages."
"The motel is clean well kept but dated. The staff was friendly and helpful. We arrived after hours and they left keys for us to get into our rooms and did all the paperwork the next day. Great customer service."
"I have stayed here a number of times, in fact, everytime I am in the area I make it a point to stay here. Old school rustic motel. The staff are always very helpful and go above and beyond."
"This was my second time at the hotel. It is a little bit of history. It is showing its wear and tear, but there are views of Lake Topaz from many rooms. The restaurant overlooks the lake too. There is a casino and a friendly bar. They give you a drink coupon for each guest. I plan to return anytime I am in that area."
"The owner/proprietor was very friendly. I liked the assortment of snacks and items in the lobby that were offered for free. If we had more time, we would have liked to have used the bbqs and picnic tables on the grounds. Loved the full-sized refrigerator—freezer in the room. And plenty of room to park our SUV with 20 ft Airstream trailer."
"I can appreciate all the amenities in the room the kitchen and everything I can definitely tell they were getting some maintenance done to the hotel but other than that, it’s nothing to complain about the staff was friendly. They make sure I got what I needed. It was a good day. I was comfortable. It was clean. That’s all that matter to me."
