"This place had a very nice gentleman at the front desk. Polite explained where the room was, that there was a limousine out front for 5 PM to take us anywhere around the town. Clean quiet and comfortable. You will not be disappointed."

"I went to a Humboldt 30 years ago and chose to stay at the Hotel Arcata while on a recent college tour visit with our son. Stay at the Hotel Arcata for the you-can’t- get- more-central location on the Arcata Plaza and the friendly, helpful staff. Yes, the hotel is old and quirky, but it’s clean and the rooms are large. the hallways are full of really great historic photos of the area and the visitors guide to the area that they have created is really quite exceptional. They do offer muffins and yogurts in their breakfast lounge, but we passed those up every morning so that we could go to Los Bagels instead! Definitely bring your ear plugs if you are staying on a Friday or Saturday night because the Plaza will be full of students bar-hopping. But Sunday was very quiet. :-) Anyway, thank you for the stay, Hotel Arcata! "
