Staff was attentive, and the continental breakfast was beautiful. My only gripe was no USB charging in the room, and I did not have a German plug adapter. Very efficient, no lift, and about a ten minute walk from the train station.

THE MOST EXPENSIVE MISTAKE
This without doubt is my worst experience in a 'hotel'. We paid premium rates during a tradeshow week in Cologne. In excess of £5000 for two romms for 6 nights. The room was tiny 6' x 12'. No cupboards. No drawers, decor was unsightly. For 4 days out of the six I had no hot water in the mornings. My complaints were ignored. Breakfast was eggs by the slice, sausage and some sort of vegetable. Cold buffet if you wanted. Service was sullen if not down right ignorent or not at all. Cannot gain access to the front of the propert after 10pm. My colleague who arrived late had to pick up a key from a key lock and go around (in the dark) to find the night entrance in a creepy lane. The only thing in it's favour was it's location. At least you could escape to some central restaurants or bars, if you were back by 10pm that is.

Bathroom is covered in mold. Particularly large amounts of black mold. Hotel itself is falling apart. Room had various parts of it falling down.

It’s an ideal base for a short break, less than 15 minutes walk from the Hauptbahnhof and Cathedral, s minutes from shops, restaurants cafes and bars. Nothing fancy, but the price was very reasonable. Wouldn’t hesitate to stay here again.

It is a nice little hotel in an excellent location. It is quite an old-fashioned hotel with dated furniture and decor, but it is clean. Check in staff spoke good English and helpful. Will definitely stay here again when I am in Cologne.

A very basic room for a good price in the centre of Cologne city. The room was cheap so you get what you pay for. No reception from 10pm so if you lose your key card or it doesnt work then you are stuck. Shower was good but the sink plug did not work for the basin. It was stuck in the sink so it could not drain. Room was nice and quiet.

Reception guy was e mess.
When i explained at the reception guy that i am in hurry and dont have time to take breakfast i asked if possible to take a sandwich for take away and he told me no. Then i needed to leave my luggage for couple of hours in the hotel after check in and the answer was no. The guy was acting very weird, singing in the reception. I wont go back there.

Consider the money I paid this hotel is very good. They have a real breakfast (included). Real hotel service. Internet very well. Location excellent. I knew I didn't book Hilton. This is enough.

Avoid the single rooms
The single room was musty, damp and unwelcoming. No daylight, no windows, no ventilation. No heating either, even though it was cold and the heaters in the main lobby were on.

The hotel is well located, right in the centre of Cologne and the main station (Koln Hbf) is less than a 10 min walk. The room is very dated, but it's ok for a short stay or a weekend trip. Overall, my experience there was ok.

The only good thing about this hotel is its location. The hotel is very outdated. There is no elevator. The first day of my stay there was no hot water. When I asked the staff about the hot water they said it was a problem in the whole hotel. The curtains were very dusty in the room and everything was run down. The breakfast was good. Overall, I would not recommend this hotel.

Hotel was OK for the price, BUT... The customer service was pathetic. I informed the hotel about late arrival when i booked it, therefore, they were supposed to give me a key box code where the room key was kept, so I could get access to my room as the front desk is closed from 10pm. However, after contacting them numerous times, they never responded to me right till i had to board the plane. They only replied to me when i was on a plane so there was no way for me to know if they'd left the key in the box untill i finally landed. I was on the process of booking another hotel when i got the key box code. Very disappointed. I never received any appology for the stress they caused. This was my second stay and the last one.
