"The staff were so kind and helpful every time I had questions, the entire property was so clean and beautiful, had such an upscale feel without the upscale price. Most hotels, you could hear people running through the halls and in the pool area, and I expected that being Father’s Day weekend. Was not the case at all. I didn’t hear anything, even being right next to the busy interstate. My room was so peacefully sound proofed! The jacuzzi was so comfortable, clean, room was HUGE! Price was incredibly reasonable for the holiday weekend! The only thing I didn’t like was the cranberry juice was so watered down that there was no hint of cranberry flavor or smell. Other than that, breakfast was PHENOMENAL, hotel was magnificent, I will absolutely be back!"
"This hotel appears to be in the middle of renovations. It was clean but there were still some repairs needed (such as our bathroom door would not shut). The staff was friendly and the price was reasonable for the area."
"Check in and check out went smoothly. Beautiful location right on the River. The restaurant has a great fish fry. Great service. We asked to be seated with a view of the river. There is a great river walk right out the back doors and a bike trail too."
"Great hotel. Very clean. Amazingly helpful staff. The room was really nice.
Two small critiques. We have a family of 5, so our son needed to sleep on the pull out sofa. When we pulled it out, not only was the bed not made, the cover for the mattress was inside out and covered in crumbs. Didn’t phase us too much, we wiped it off and put the sheet on that we got from the front desk but I did feel like it was a slight oversight.
Our second critique is simply for the standpoint of having younger kids. We traveled all day and looked for place our kids could unwind in the pool and although the pool was clean and nice, it was VERY echoey and the tile was quite slippery.
Both not feeling super kid friendly.
But the quality of the room, service and breakfast trumped these little issues and we walked away very pleased!"
"Check-in was seamless. Stefan helped me with a problem with my booking quickly and satisfactorily. He was a big help. The room was nicely laid out and quite spacious. Breakfast was pretty basic hotel fare, nothing special. Excellent location for Gundersen Hospital."
