"My partner and I booked this property however when we arrived at 7pm, there was a large gate blocking the entrance and no one was there. We tried and tried to call and message the property and never received a response. La Fortuna is somewhat out in the country without many on the spot lodging options. Our family apartment had two balconies - one in front and one in back facing the river. Check-in and check out were easy, and we appreciated the recommendations for transportation and restaurants. "
