"The staff is great. Angela seems to do most jobs. Check-in, housekeeping, etc. She does it all work a smile and genuine, caring attitude. She even found a Styrofoam cooler in the basement for us to transport our fish to the processor. The owner, Vern, also is quite personable and helpful. Our room was spacious and comfortable. This is a no-frills hotel, but clean and comfortable. It was more than adequate for our four day stay with a mini fridge, coffee maker and microwave. Our only suggestion is to add a towel bar around the sink area. The attached restaurant also has personable staff and is very accommodating. The food is basic, good and reasonably priced (for Alaska). We would definitely stay here again and recommend."

"We are so glad we stayed at Renfro’s! It is a great “unplugged” space where we got a lot of quality family time. There are books and games available in the office, as well as kayaks and paddle boats. Our kids really enjoyed exploring at the beach, playing in the cabin loft, and swinging in the hammock. The cabin was comfortable for our family of 5. The kitchen is well stocked with dishes and cookware. We would absolutely stay here again!"
