Excellent skiing, summer adventures, live music events and pedestrian-only villages make this one of Colorado’s favourite year-round mountain sport resorts.

Enjoy an action-packed holiday at the family-friendly Copper Mountain Ski Resort. From its mountain to its three villages and restaurants, this Colorado resort offers outstanding year-round activities. Ski on perfectly groomed slopes, hike scenic trails, enjoy inspiring views of Tenmile Range and attend music festivals.

The resort is famous for its naturally divided ski terrain, which covers an area of 2,465 acres (998 hectares). Enjoy the long winter season from November through April. Experienced skiers and snowboarders can tackle bowls, challenging trails and terrain parks. Novice skiers can practice on beginner slopes and take lessons with patient and capable instructors.

Ride the tubing hill and have fun at the ice skating rink, playing broomball, curling or hockey. Bring kids to the mini-tubing hill and tubing carousel at Critterland adventure playground. Join a dog-sled tour, horse-drawn sleigh ride or snowmobile excursion and traverse fields of sparkling white snow.

The opportunities for adventure continue throughout the summer. Take a scenic chairlift to the mountaintop, where nature trails lead to breathtaking views of Colorado’s Tenmile Range. Race around the mountain on a go-kart, brave a bungee jump and travel across Copper’s West Lake on the Alpine Rush Zip Line. Explore mountain-biking trails, try disc golf and ride bumper boats.

Play 18 holes at Copper Creek Golf Course, which is one of the highest-elevation courses in the U.S. Don’t miss Woodward Copper, a year-round indoor training facility for freestyle skiing, snowboarding, skateboarding and more.

Stroll around the resort’s pedestrian-only villages to discover a range of hotels, gift shops, rental stores and a spa. Sample everything from Belgian waffles to New York-style pizzas and craft beer at the bars and restaurants. Watch performances by well-known artists during July’s free Copper Mountain Music Festival and August’s Genuine Jazz and Wine festival.

Located about 75 miles (120 kilometres) from Denver, the area is easy to reach. A shuttle bus connects the resort with Denver International Airport. Get around the resort and between the villages via the free Copper Mountain bus.
