Hotels near Coppin State University

"Very nice hotel but not in the nicest area lots of homeless individuals liked to hang out near the front. Staff was exceptional very helpful and friendly. The only big dislike was that I purposely picked the Kimpton because on Expedia it had listed each room having a bathtub. When I arrived there was no bathtub - they said they recently renovated and took all the bathtubs out. I honestly would not have stayed here had I known there was no tub which I needed due to my autoimmune disorder. I spent 4 days very cold and stiff- the shower did not cut it. The room was very clean and housekeeping was right on top of everything. I had clean towels every day and the room was cleaned. Only thing besides the tub was there was only 1 trash can in the bathroom. I didn’t want to throw food leftovers in the bathroom trash. Bed was comfortable and had a large comforter on top which is better than just the thin blanket at other hotels. There also was not a lot of restaurant choices around the area and the bartender at the hotel restaurant was extremely rude- I get she was working by herself and there was an influx of people due to a conference, but she didn’t need to be rude and blatantly ignore you when you were at the bar (especially because it was really the only place). Don’t go walking for something to eat after 8 because there is nothing except for a Royal Farms which did not have the best characters hanging out at. "

"Awful trip/ there was one person checking people in about 40 people to get inside even those that had pre-checked and already still had to wait in line. I reserved two rooms both room rooms had cold water one didn’t have a remote control. The phone didn’t work in the rooms. The rooms were dirty and old, they’re “” continental breakfast was water, decaf, coffee, and bread. Very old old air conditioning will never stay there again."
