"The Gables Inn serves its purpose well. Close to the U, and with no frills. I've stayed there several times and have always found it clean and equipped as expected. Bed comfort is what took away 1 star. They often creak or squeak, and the mattresses are fairly old. But the AC works, and the refrigerator in the room, and coffee in the lobby are appreciated."
