"8 day stay to attend a family funeral.
Pros:
Breakfast is provided. Standard bagels, muffins, toast, cereal + a waffle maker. Hot items were eggs each day + bacon or sausage and biscuits / gravy or potatoes.
Pool and Hot Tub: didn’t see it too crowded. Nice
Fairly quiet: had a room on the 3rd floor next to the elevator. Night collection staff pointed out or room since we had a longer than typical stay and gave us a choice if we wanted the first floor not by the elevator, or the 3rd floor, but next to the elevator.
Daily housekeeping service. A lot of hotels don’t do daily service anymore. Room was clean. Housekeeper was great and checked in several times to see if we needed something else
Convenient Area: Visalia has grown and has some areas to stay away from. Area was good, close to the freeway, Walgreens, fast food / coffee options. Easy access.
Cons: Breakfast did get a bit repetitive.
Pet friendly (I assume), so an occasional barking dog at 2 am if that isn’t your thing.
Room keys are temperamental, so it takes 10 tries to get in or the very air deactivated them.
Day front counter staff seemed to have many many tasks, so there were several times we found just a sign that said “Back in 30 min,” so frustrating when we were locked out or having key difficulties frequently.
Like every other hotel in states where it is legal, faint smell of marijuana lingers.
Overall, the hotel is nicely maintained and the staff was helpful. Would stay again."
