"Hung up in unbelievable traffic in Santa Cruz, I was not able to check into the hotel until 7 AM the next day when they reopened. So I don't have the overnight experience one expects.
That said, the room was very clean, the shower had good hot water, and I did get a morning nap on the bed. Fort7nately, it is off the road a bit. But noise carries and young Costa Ricans love their motorcycles. So if you are super noise sensitive that might bother you, but the traffic is really light on that...

It is a a tough drive on gravel would recommend a 4 wheel drive with good tires. We had a small car and had to go very slow. There is three creeks that need to be crossed we were okay because it is the dry hot season."

Also, when you stay at an all inclusive resort it can tend to have mediocre food. That was not the case with this property. "Great location at Samara. We had booked a room with balcony looking out to the street not realizing it’s a busy street. We got upgraded to a bigger room with pool view without any request. We appreciated that very much as e were tired that day. The ac in the room worked excellent, the room and bathroom were clean and comfortable. Parking is across the street. We only stayed one night so did not get the a chance to try the restaurant, which looked great but can’t actually rate as we decided to try another restaurant in the town. "

"Really loved staying here and would highly recommend it. Everything was great, the grounds and location are amazing right on the beach. The breakfast was really nice, rooms aren’t massive but have everything you need and are clean and comfy and the staff were all really friendly and helpful. I only had a tiny 2wd car and Casa Cecilia was easily accessible along the road in Santa Teresa with this (was in dry season though, maybe would need 4x4 in wet season). Overall I would highly recommend Casa Cecilia and would definitely stay here again "
