Hotel Aquila is on the main pedestrian street that goes through town. It is a 10 minute walk to the main bus station and also to the church in the center of town from which one can get a shuttle to the ski areas. So it is convenient for skiing, shopping, restaurants. Breakfast buffet was somewhat basic but good enough. The staff were friendly and helpful. My room was very small, but it did have a good partial view of some mountains since it was on the top floor. One problem was that the room was too hot (in the winter), even after I turned off all heat sources. It was difficult to sleep unless I opened the balcony door.

Four-day Christmas Getaway
Very comfortable hotel in the heart of the downtown area, walkable to all shops, restaurants, ski lifts. Very good restaurant / wine bar in the hotel, enjoyed breakfast and a few dinners there, including Christmas dinner. Friendly staff. Parking nearby, can park out front to unload/load. Maids could do a slightly better job on bathroom cleaning; was some mold starting in shower that we cleaned off. Overall, highly recommend.

We liked this place. It was a solid 3 star stay and very convenient. My wife came down with a sore throat and we decided to stay for 3 more nights. The staff of the front desk were for the most part courteous and considerate. However when my wife’s condition improved and we wanted to cancel the last night of the stay they would not credit us back the amount for that last night. As we were giving g then more than 24 hours notice I consider this to be bad behavior and definitely left an impression on what otherwise was a pleasant experience.
