"We really enjoyed our stay at Cayuga Blu! The hotel was quiet and comfortable, the beds were wonderful, and the fresh breakfast and coffee were a great start to our day. The staff were especially pleasant and welcoming"
"I stayed at the Cortland Motel for one night after a concert in nearby Homer. My expectations were low since I only needed an inexpensive place to sleep before heading home the next day. Overall, it met those expectations.
The biggest positives were the price, location, cleanliness, and parking. It's right off I-81, and the classic one-storey motel layout means plenty of parking is directly outside the rooms. While the property is very dated, the room and bathroom were spotless, and the flooring appeared newer than the rest of the room. The TV was also a pleasant surprise, with cable, plenty of channels, and an on-screen guide.
Drawbacks included a language barrier at check-in, although the owners were friendly and did their best to help. The room was small but adequate for a solo traveller. It smelled stuffy at first, but the air conditioner quickly fixed that. The bed was softer and bouncier than I prefer, but fine for one night.
The bathroom was very basic, with tiny soap bars, shampoo packets, little counter space, no exhaust fan, and a cramped shower. Water pressure was poor, and the showerhead looked overdue for a cleaning, although the multiple spray settings helped compensate somewhat. The walls were thin and the Wi-Fi was poor.
While this isn't somewhere I'd choose for a vacation, it served its purpose well for a quick overnight stay. Clean, affordable, convenient, and no-frills. I'd probably stay here again if I needed a cheap place to spend the night."
"I've stayed at Hampton Inn Cortland a few times now and have had similar experiences. Very clean rooms, friendly staff and enough to eat for breakfast. Coffee served all day too!"
