"This is a definite gem to stay in. We reserved a room with a view of the Colorado River. It was pleasatly perfect. (Only a few have balconies).
Every single staff member was friendly (front desk, housekeeping, and at breakfast time). In fact, we had a last minute crib request which was delivered to our room without delay.
The rooms are spacious and clean. Housekeeping took care of refreshing them daily.
The breakfast rotated items each morning. It was mainly standard fare with a special item added each day. Very fresh and hot.
The pool overlooks the Colorado River so, it is a nice way to finish a hot, Texas day.
There are 2 restaurants in the parking lot, as well as a downtown area with several other eating choices only 2 minutes away.
We will always stay here for future visits. A great value for your money. Highly recommended."
"Very nice place to stay it does get very hot in the Stardom, I would only suggest another AC machine 🙂 I would definitely recommend and stay there again"
"We loved our stay at Walden Retreats. Becky checked us in and was so welcoming and informative of our tent and things to do while we were there. I was worried that the tent would be warm in the first of August, but we kept the shades down during the day and the fans on. My husband and I actually woke up cold in the morning, so we were just fine. I couldn't believe how clean the tent itself was. They had special touches like robes, luxury bath towels, and fantastic smelling shampoo and conditioner. We enjoyed making smores by the fire and sleeping in the next morning. My husband told me before we left that he wants to come when it gets a little colder to be there during a different season."
"Everything was fantastic except for the trash that was left on the front porch by the previous occupant. This was in the instructions for checkout, but the staff never picked it up. I messaged them about it, it was still there two days later when we checked out, but now ours is sitting next to it. I’m not sure if there is anyone on-site over night, we never saw anyone."
