"The photos show the great views the room has. However the bathroom, kitchen, bedroom, and tvs are dated. This property "thrives" solely due to its location and NOT due to the quality of the rooms. This was my first and LAST time staying at this property. There was not even sufficient soap provided for bathing, the shower floor is peeling, the TVs are old and only show cable ( no ability to stream nor connect your device to it) , my girlfriend was so uncomfortable in the bedroom she slept on top of the blanket. The views and balcony are what makes this place, but without the view.. this place would be vacant or a low budget inn. I do NOT recommend staying there. "

"The property location is excellent . The hotel is very clean and updated. Breakfast could be improved with ham, bacon or sausage to accompany the eggs. It only happened one day. The elevator functionsing needs attention"

"A consistently clean and comfortable place to stay with our little LH dachshund - we usually stay one night at a time when visiting family in that area of Tampa. The lobby area is inviting and roomy - staff is wonderful and we always seem to meet the nicest, most considerate fellow-travelers & have never experienced otherwise here. Jose, a waiter in the breakfast area is so warm and encouraging - always a bright spot in our day!"

"Where do I start……I booked a suite & also a separate room for family. I specifically requested the extra room to be 2 queens. When we got to the hotel at 4:30, the extra room had been changed to just a king and wasn’t even ready. That started the experience on the wrong foot. We had to wait for the 2nd room to be ready & had to keep insisting that we wanted 2 queens. After finally getting to our rooms, we all decided to head to the downstairs bar to meet for cocktails & appetizers. Several people requested Pina Coladas & were told that the bar could not make them because their blender was broken & had been for a while. The food was less than appetizing that we ordered & ended up not eating it. Every time we ran the water or flushed the toilet in our suite, the plumbing banged so loud in the wall that it was ridiculous! The next day, housekeeping didn’t even have our room cleaned & it was 4:30 in the afternoon. We had to complain & when they finally sent someone up to the room, it was done half-a#$(*with no extra towels that we requested. Horrible experience. They don’t even have a coffee shop in the hotel. The best part of the whole trip was the valet staff & bellhops! They were awesome! Don’t waste your time on this “Grand Hyatt”. A total disappointment. We’ll find somewhere else to stay from now on. Horrible experience."
