"The Mandarin Oriental this is not. This is a clean, well run, small European hotel, not new, but well maintained, with a very friendly and astonishingly multi-lingual staff. The clientele appeared to be well-to-do couples speaking French and German. The food in the restaurant was not flaming or foaming, but the lasagne made with fresh pasta was very nice, as was my glass of red wine. The hotel is within spitting distance of both Hertz and the train station. If you have reason to stay overnight in Lugano, this seems like a logical and pleasant choice."

"Our second visit to Parco San Marco as we loved it so much the first time! We were allocated the wrong room type on arrival but this was quickly rectified after first night and we were moved to the correct one in block L. Excellent room - great layout, well appointed kitchenette and lake views from both rooms. A car really is needed to be able to explore the area, get to shops, restaurants, supermarket etc. We loved our trip to Monte Tamaro for cable car, high ropes, toboggan and water park. Breakfast is always a highlight, so much choice and staff always very friendly and helpful. This is such a stunning resort. Never crowded despite high occupancy rates. Always space at pools, lake etc. Great facilities and something for all ages - family pool with slides, adult relax pool, lake with inflatable slide for older children, family spa, adult only spa. My 12 year old said it’s the perfect resort that’s got everything! Wonderful continental feel that makes holidaying here relaxing and memorable. Staff very attentive and helpful. Thank you for another wonderful stay!"

"The hotel has incredible views and overall everything is very well maintained and beautiful. However, I was disappointed that there was no air conditioning, even considering it’s a mountain location. In addition, the fact that smoking was allowed left a tobacco smell in the room, which was quite uncomfortable. In short, the setting is wonderful, but these details definitely affected the comfort of the stay. I hope this feedback is taken as constructive, because the place has a lot of potential."

"Das Hotel ist super gelegen , wir hatten ein Zimmer mit Balkon und Seeblick sowie Blick auf den schönen Pool, das Frühstück war hervorragend Die Gegend ist sehr gut zu erkunden zu Fuß, mit dem Fahrrad, per Bus und Zug. Parkplatz war inclusive und bei den warmen Temperaturen freuten wir uns über den Kühlschrank im Zimmer. Insgesamt waren wir äußerst zufrieden und kommen sehr gerne wieder."

"Fabulous boutique hotel. All the staff were exceedingly courteous and helpful. Rooms have incredible views above Lake Lugano and it wasn’t an issue about not being located in the actual town itself, in fact it was a positive, with the hotel running a courtesy shuttle minibus down to the town and back 3 times daily. Restaurant absolutely wonderful with incredible food and wine choices. Bar offers an alternative more relaxed eating option either inside or outside on the lovely terrace. Would highly recommend."
