"Great location and nice welcome on arrival. Simple and practical, the room we had worked fine although the bed was a little uncomfortable. Small bathroom as you’d expected from a converted residence, but good dining room for breakfast and a microwave to heat up any meals you might bring back to the house after a long day exploring. Owners are not on site so don’t expect hotel concierge service! Everything worked and as a base for travels around Shetland the price is great!"
"This hotel was very poor. Decor was appalling with aged dirty wallpaper coming off the walls. The TV did not work at all with stations not tuned in. We (3 adults one room) stayed there for 3 nights and at no point were we given fresh clean cups for our tea, freshened bedding/towels or bins changed. No WiFi given. No bar or restaurant facilities. Carpets worn and windows dirty. It was very disappointing and a shame. Definitely not value for money!"
"Outstanding service and care from the staff- they seem to have a ‘family’ vibe going on
Speciall thanks to manager Jane for local info & taking care of us.
Rooms we saw were spacious and clean
We had a room at the back which was light and quiet- we neede a couple of recovery afternoon kips which were uninterrupted.
Dinner was tasty & of really good quality and variety; breakfasts hearty with healthier/ continental options. 5 stars.
Even locals confirmed best hotel in Shetland

"The whole experience was wonderful.
Great hosts, really nice room and view and perfectly positioned for town.
Breakfasts were a triumph and hospitality from Ryan was second to none.
We really enjoyed our stay here and it made Shetland a really enjoyable experience for us."
