"Clean ,quiet, close to everything "

"Struttura chiaramente "in divenire", con personale gentilissimo (a cominciare dai proprietari) che ci hanno addirittura cercato per anticipare il check-in a nostra discrezione. Colazione ottima ma un po' monocorde (il salato limitato). Camere un po' spartane (cabina doccia piccola con soffione fisso a 220 cm)"

" L 'hotel Catalano e' un antico baglio sapientemente recuperato e restaurato, arredatocon gusto, e gestito egregiamente dai sig.ri Tonino e Maurizio Battiato. Dalla localita' di Custonaci, grazie ai loro consigli e suggerimenti abbiamo potuto godere anche di percorsi un po' al di fuori dei soliti circuiti turistici. La struttura vanta innumerevoli punti di forza, dalla pulizia delle camere all' ubicazione strategica, dalla particolare attenzione e premura che tutto lo staff rivolge agli ospiti...

"Walking distance from the really nice beach, clear water. Rooms were freshly renovated, spacious and nice. I had even two balconies. The host family was extremely kind. The delicious breakfast was much more than expected. They even provided me gluteen free options with a short notice. Lots of parking space. The beach is nice also for running. "

"Recently back from a wonderful 10-night stay at this lovely hotel. The staff were all very friendly and helpful and were so fast to respond to questions on WhatsApp. They helped with numerous restaurant bookings, excursion information, organised airport transfers and directed us to the local Saturday market. Breakfast was a highlight of the day - the staff soon knew exactly what coffees we wanted each morning, the buffet was always full of freshly made savoury and sweet delights (try the pistachio cake!) topped off with an amazing sea view. The hotel's location is perfect - set back from the road, totally peaceful and quiet, but close enough to easily walk to all the restaurants and the port. The pool area, like the rest of the hotel, is very clean and well maintained with great views out across the coast. We usually managed to find a couple of free sunbeds and the lemon granita from the pool bar was fantastic - perfectly tangy and refreshing. Although it would have been handy to be able to get a snack for lunch at the hotel, it did mean we got a little more exercise on the short walk down the road. We highly recommend Gelateria Vernaci for amazing ice creams (loads of flavours, generous portions & great value - we went every day after discovering it!), Gusto for the best pizzas (went back on our last night it was so good), Arche for a lovely lunch (great arancini & granita), H80 Fame for delicious seafood and La Tonnara for a special dinner with lovely views of the marina."

"Staff was very friendly and helpful. Ar check-in they explained where to find things in the vicinity. Parking is separate and the give you a key to open and close the lot while you’re staying there. It’s about a 2 minute walk from the hotel. They escorted us to our room to make sure everything was okay. Overall, very good experience. Would stay there again."
