Days Inn & Suites by Wyndham Tuscaloosa - Univ. of Alabama
10/10 Excellent
"The room was very clean and comfortable. The front desk staff was helpful and pleasant. The breakfast was pretty simple, but adequate given the hotel price (eggs, sausage, muffins, fresh fruit, yogurt, 2 cereal choices, coffee & tea). We will stay here again when we visit our daughter at UA. "
"Perfect location and comfortable room. Only observation is the A/C cooled the room but not as cold as thermostat suggested and my daughter would have liked it cooler. "
"Staff were nice and the highlight of my stay. The hotel was clean but lackluster. I appreciated the nightly rate being half of the downtown Tuscaloosa hotels. The drive to my child’s apartment on 15th St was quick and easy, so location-wise it was great. Had problems with the toilet in my room and it has to be snaked twice within 12 hours. I’m not sure why my room was not serviced during my last full day there, especially since when I left my room the housekeeping cart was in front of my door. If I was rating this on “you get what you pay for,” then 5/5. Realistically it was 3/5."
"We only stayed one due to my mother being in the hospital out of town. We didnt have free time to use much internet or watch TV, but I would say it was decent. I would have noticed sub-par WIFI. I did have breakfast one morning. The food was quite enjoyable, I remember the eggs being fluffy and the biscuits being fresh. They also had plenty of cold choices: fruit, milk, cereals, ect."
"The ac barley cooled the room even on the lowest setting, neither side of lamps mounted to wall fixtures worked, hair dryer in bathroom next to vanity didn’t work nor did the plug. The handle in shower above tub faucet wouldn’t stay in place on one temperature setting for me to shower, there was barely any water pressure, there was concrete residue pieces scattered throughout the room on floor and when I tried to make due by moving floor lamp temporarily by bedside for lamp I was very careful but with hardly even moving it huge chunks of concrete stone material that seemed to be already broken prior to me staying in the room started to immediately fall out from the bottom. Also something like a spider or bug must have bit me while i was asleep because I woke up with my leg hurting evidence of a bite and it was swollen and red."
