Independent, Daintree - Cape Tribulation hotels

Cape Trub Beach House is a unique spot in the Daintree among some stunning megafauna. The food is good and they have helpful customer service.

We spent 3 nights at this lovely place last week, which was towards the end of wet season. The rainy, windy weather made this picturesque little place so romantic for my husband and myself. The staff was always cheerful, friendly and more than helpful. The room was clean and the blue and white theme was really pretty. The kitchenette was sufficiently stocked. Comfy and clean - a bit out of town but with a hire car that was no problem and gave us better value. Everything we needed and lovely pool too for a quick dip at the end of a busy day of sightseeing. Helpful and friendly owners.

Spacious, clean and quiet cluster house that comes with a dedicated parking lot. There are only 14 units so it's a small cozy setup. House is well equipped.

3 nights at the Shantara in Port Douglas. Very good location - within walking distance to the places relevant to tourists. Very clean and comfortable room and quiet - it was well-furnished and well-decorated - made the stay a real pleasure.

Very friendly staff and charming hotel. The rooms were large and comfortable with updated bathrooms. Our room was perfectly located facing the back. The rooms facing the courtyard/pools may be more noisy. The hotel is ideally located.
