Friendly...old and run down.

I stayed here as I wanted to be in the city centre but within reach of the airport but most of all I wanted a good swimming pool. I needed 3 rooms for one night. It is a very grubby old run down hotel...a bit like an old style 'travelling sales persons' hotel. Not dissimilar to the run down motels in old American movies. But...the staff are lovely friendly and helpful..the pool is great. The beds are clean but very old and basic. It needs a lot of love and investment. Having said that it's a nice change from the a too common identikit business hotels springing up everywhere. But...it is what it is.

Check in and out is very fast. The size of the room is very good, but it is very basic and a bit old. The room is a little bit dark. There is no power outlet in the room, so you must unplug the refrigerator, table light to plug in. My room has a double bed and a single bed. There is no refrigerator in the room. The Wi-Fi is so bad.

房間大小適中,廁所有浴缸,每天打掃清潔度還可以,地理位置尚可離市中心不遠,飯店內有餐廳,但附近餐廳較少,房間內沒有冰箱及熱水壺較不方便,房間內電視是新款液晶電視,跟網站上照片傳統電視不一樣,感覺好很多. 本次住宿沒有餐廳享用早餐,但朋友住過說這邊的早餐很不錯!

Simple & nice

I would like to recommend Hotel Faidherbe to the young guys who have limited ressources as they travel to Dakar. This is a normal hotel with clean room, pool and located in the center of the city.

Hotel simples porém está situado proximo à estaçao de trem, à estaçao marítima e a facilidades como lojas de conveniência e supermercados. Os funcionários limitam-se ao atendimento básico. Elevador único e pequeno para movimentaçao intensa do estabelecimento, causando congestionamento para utilizaçao em horários de pico. Nao possui cofre nos apartamentos, nem frigobar, necessidades essenciais na cidade de Dakar. Vale somente pelo custo e localização.

J'ai passé 1 puis 2 nuits en janvier 2017 (j'ai pu y laisser une valise). hotel au standard international avec un bon rapport qualité/prix. buffet petit-déjeuner correct, piscine (non testé). Situé à proximité de l'embarcadère pour Gorée et de la place de l'Indépendance (centre historique)

Nice hotel Close to Market and very accecible .

The service and staff were ok. The bathroom sink( focet) had an issue. The AC had an issue as well but the maintenance took care of it. My overall experience was ok. I liked where the hotel was located, it was easily accessible .

Absolutely disgraceful, it is not 3 stars worthy.

It was a run down hotel: dirty brown sheets, dirty blue shower towers, water was dark brown a few times, elevator stopped working a few times. I was absolutely disappointed. It was a horrible experience and this should not be advertised as a 3 stars hotel. The cleaning crew didn't even knock on the door. They would just open the doo and catch you in awe.

街中やあちこちに出掛けやすい

設備は古いものの、スタッフはとても親切で気持ち良い。ホテル滞在でのんびり過ごしたい人には向いていないが、ロケーションが良いので、出掛けるには便利。インターネットは少々遅い。朝食はバラエティはないが、美味しいよ。

Its okay, but not really what I expected to see

Pictures I had seen convinced me to stay even, but the hotel is more dated than is made to look. Its clean, but its old. Good thing at least is that they are flexible with reservations. I arrived late so there was no food anywhere, but they were hospitable enough to help me find something in the middle of the night. Staff were helpful for the most part, the issue is the with the age of the building. Its clean, but old. A little bit of modernisation will help greatly. Internet speed was impressive.
