"The location of the hotel is excellent with great walks along the river. Our room was very clean and comfortable. Some maintenance was needed to windows in our room and the corridor, with external painting needed, however otherwise our room was fine. All staff were very helpful, friendly and efficient - really good service. The restaurant menu was excellent. We only eat fish and vegetables, but there was a really good choice of options which we considered on the menu. The dinner was absolutely delicious. We will definitely return, as we really enjoyed our stay at Friars Carse Hotel. Thank you very much!"

"We stayed for 1 night in June. We were originally allocated a room on the ground floor near the bar area, which under normal circumstances would have been fine, the room itself was very nice. However, we have a child undergoing cancer treatment and she would not have settled. Paul, who I believe to be the owner manager, was very accommodating and went to great lengths to ensure we could have a lovely stay at this hotel. He arranged for a single bed to be put in one of the double rooms upstairs, enabling us to stay the night. We were shown where to park the car, if none of the three parking spaces are available. He went above and beyond what one would expect from a small hotel / b&b. In the morning we went for our breakfast, which was very nice. I particularly liked the sausages. Thank you for everything"
