"We loved the location. Amazing views from the property. Only 10 minutes from town. The stairs to the bedroom loft were narrow and steep and difficult to maneuver for someone with joint issues. Aside from the stairs, we loved it!"

"The hotel staff were amazing! My new wife and I got married at the Akureyri botanic gardens and the staff had a note and two bottles of Prosecco waiting in our room. We upgraded to the suite on the 5th floor with a view of the beautiful city and it was worth it! The breakfast bar was excellent with a wide variety of delicious foods and drinks. We ate dinner at the hotel restaurant and the food and service were outstanding! The exercise room was small and had nice equipment but the hotel lacked a hot tub which would have been nice after riding Icelandic horses. Only a few of the rooms have bath tubs and our room had a walk in shower. There is a water park with hot tubs up the hill however we never made it there. One complaint was due to the hotels location in the city center, loud cars would race up the hill every so often late at night and it was very noisy in our room so we wore ear plugs. Overall, I would give Hotel Kea a 5 star rating 😊"
"Extremely clean! Wasn't expecting my first ever hostel to be this nice. Capsules you stay in are super cool and you have provacy! Highly recommend *** No parking on site"
"If you want a hotel that’s near restaurants, cafes or any stores, I would love to recommend this hotel bc you can just walk. It says they don’t have laundry facilities but if you’re looking for few nights that’s fine. It’s not so quiet because it’s in the middle of town but great if you want to explore. I would recommend to put the sign “dnd” to your door if you’re staying at morning or noon."
"Very small hotel and they didn't have many people booked so you have to phone for someone to come let you in to check in but totally understandable. Staff were awesome."
