"This is a very nice place close to Sigiriya rock. The owner, Dinesh, went out of his way to make sure everything was great. We had dinner there which was a delicious assortment of home made curry. The breakfast was also fresh and delicious. We stayed in the room with A/C which was nice after coming back hot from a long climb. The room was perfectly clean and comfortable. "

"We loved staying here. The owner was incredibly kind and let us return after our check out time to shower. The wifi unfortunately was not working during our stay but the rooms were clean and ready for us when we stayed. The beds were comfy, and having the option of a ceiling fan or an aircon was helpful to keep cool. The location was a little confusing since it was behind in the alley, however, tucked away made it less busy to access. "

"Nice Villa. Huge room. This hotel is on the edge of the jungle but still provided good accommodation. Lovely Sri Lankan food. Only thing lacking was a fridge in the room. Overall very good. "

"Great atmosphere, decent room, food was good. As I had an early morning start, they packed a breakfast which was nice. Only downside was the a/c didn’t work very well so the room was too warm and they should upgrade their pillows. They were terrible. "

"The family that runs this homestay is so incredibly sweet. They don't speak much English, but that's okay. We got by! Danu called me on the phone upon check-in to make sure everything was to my liking. The street it's on is a very local one so there isn't much around, but I had a driver so it was perfectly fine. If you were to walk, I think it would have probably taken 15 or so minutes to the rock along a scenic road :) Danu's mother cooked me the best chicken curry I've ever had! So tasty!!...

"This property is in the middle of nowhere so there it comes the magic. I can’t complain about slow and poor wifi or power issues since this isn’t a hotel but a home stay. The family hosting is among the best people you could ever meet, very attentive with guests and providing an excellent service and serving a tasty land grown food. We really enjoyed our time there, certainly a place to disconnect in the middle of the island "

"The property is in the lap of nature surrounded by fruiting plants and peacocks. It's an excellent getaway from the hustle of fast-paced city life. The best part was the host who went above and beyond to make our stay enjoyable. As we arrived, he plucked fresh passion fruits from his garden and made juice for us. For lunch, he arranged delicious home-cooked Sri Lankan food. For dinner, we requested grilled chicken and he arranged that as well at reasonable price. He also arranged a safari driver...

"Arrived at the hotel to be told that they hadn't finished building it yet and have booked a room at a different hotel near by for us. They said the new hotel was $12 per night more but they would take on that cost and offered us breakfast as an apology which was a very good breakfast. This would have been fine if the hotel they booked had actually been $12 per night more instead of actually turning out to be $18 per night cheaper than we had paid! Feel a bit ripped off. The hotel we ended...

"The staff and management is very friendly and helpful. The rooms were subpar but clean enough. No aircon which was fine but no hot water either. The showers were non functional and no buckets were provided till requested. The property is isolated and tough to find. However for the price and for someone seeking a secluded no frills stay with kind and helpful staff I recommend the hotel."
