Sigiriya is a beautiful little town and Lion Rock is a must do. Get up early to beat the crowds and heat. It opens at 7am. We hired a scooter but Charu the father will drive you if needed. "We stayed Moi Dambulla for 3 days. It was such a beautiful and peaceful stay. Its also really close to the Golden temple and can get to Sigirya easily. The staff members were excellent and went above and beyond. The place is very clean, I wasn’t keeping well on the day of checkout and the staff very kindly let us checkout late because of me. They also cooked us meals. Erande, the manager I believe and the staff were really great, we definitely recommend the stay. "

"We arrived after a 3 hour drive from Colombo to find the hotel had emailed 30 minutes earlier to cancel our booking. I was told there was no water or electricity in the room due to an unforeseen maintenance issue. They did at least find us alternative accommodation. Still waiting on being refunded for the original booking"
