"We arrived late due to travel (close to midnight and i had called during the day to let the staff know.) Upon arrival to the room, we were first met with a candy wrapper on the counter. Then my wife went in the bathroom and smelled something. It was a mildewy shower curtain. Upon checking that out, she found all kinds of hair in the shower tub. We were very grossed out and unhappy but being it was midnight and we just needed to get our kids to sleep, we dealt with it.
The next morning when we left, I was wearing a Michigan State basketball shirt. The manager or worker at the front desk greeted me with a "Go Blue!" Upon seeing my t-shirt. This is on par with having greated a UT fan with a "Roll Tide" or "Go Cats." I said nothing and I'm not offended by it. But it did strike me that the front desk of a hotel/hospitality eatablishment might not want to make it a habit of intenionally saying things that might really anger their guests."
