Fünf Sterne sind zu hoch angesetzt

Die Zimmer sind eher klein und der Stauraum fehlt. Aus der Duschbrause kam nur sehr spärlich Wasser und die WC-Spülung funktionierte nicht richtig. Die Badewanne ist zwar hübsch inszeniert, aber reinsetzen würd ich mich nie (‚dreckig‘, angewetzt). Das Zimmer & das Haus allgemein ist sehr schön und geschmackvoll eingerichtet, die Aussicht traumhaft. Das Frühstück war okay. Frische Eierspeisen köstlich, allerdings war die Käse/Fleischplatte zum bedienen sehr spärlich und total unappetitlich angerichtet. Verglichen mit all den anderen Guesthouses/B&B die wir besucht haben, ist im Sea Star der Preis viel zu hoch. Wir werden nicht mehr kommen.

Beautiful romantic spot on the water

We were pleasantly surprised by this hidden gem. The staff were amazing, especially - Blessed, who made our stay very special. We were lucky enough to be upgraded to the master suite, which was beyond words. So much detail has been put into every aspect of this beautiful bed and breakfast. If you are looking for a quiet and romantic spot, boasting charm and hospitality - this is the place! Will be back to stay for sure.

Perfekte Unterkunft zur Walbeobachtung

Von allen Zimmern der SeaStarLodge hat man Blick auf die Bucht und kann die Wale beobachten. Die Manager Kate und Blessing kümmern sich um Dinner-Reservierungen, Whalewatching-Touren. Abends gibt es einen Sundowner auf der Terrasse für alle Gäste. Sehr schöne Atmosphäre.

Hotel mit ( vielleicht ) Blick

Das Hotel liegt in der zweiten Reihe , wenn man Glück hat bekommt man auch ein Zimmer wo man das Meer sehen kann . Das Haus könnte schön sein, ist aber schon sehr abgeschnuddelt verglichen mit anderen Hotels auf unserer Liste das schlechteste. Wir waren 3 Wochen in Südafrika und haben die gartenroute gemacht.

Nice clean place on residential neighborhood.

We arrived to the hotel very tired, and were received by Clarissa, the owner of the guest house, who received us very well and warmly. She was very kind and helped us a lot to get around to get something to eat and to book our activities in the surrounding areas. The hotel and room was clean, with a very nice shared living room that has a nice and relaxing view. The room itself is very small and has no door in the bathroom, and just a glass door for the actual toilet, which made things somewhat uncomfortable, since I had to ask my wife to leave the room when I needed to "go" (and vice versa). The hotel is in a residential area, far away from any restaurants and without easy access to the beach. You'll need a car by all means. Having said this, our stay was very pleasent, the hotel is very nice and friendly, and the breakfast is great to get you going.

Tolle Lage mit Blick aufs Meer

Sehr angenehmer Aufenthalt. Toller Empfang durch Clarissa mit einem Glas Wein. Sehr persönliche Atmosphäre. Netter Tip fürs Abendessen. Zimmer etwas klein mit wenig Abstellmöglichkeiten. Für 1-2 Nächte aber ausreichend. Es gibt auch größere Zimmer in der Lodge gegen einen kleinen Aufpreis.

Stylische Herzlichkeit

Leider hatten wir nur zwei Nächte in diesem sehr geschmackvoll eingerichtetem Haus. Die gute Seele dort Clarissa umsorgt die Gäste in jeglicher Hinsicht. Beginnend mit der Anreise und dem gastfreundlichem Empfang mit Kuchen, herrlichem Kaffee oder auf Wunsch Brötchen. Wunderbare Tipps für die Gestaltung des Tages sowie tolle Empfehlung und Organisation für Abends. Das Frühstück war sowohl von der Zubereitung als auch von der Darreichung ein Traum in herrlicher Räumlichkeit. Im ganzen Haus hatten immer den Blick frei aufs Meer. Sogar von der Dusche aus könnte man keinen Wal verpassen, auch wenn wir keine mehr gesehen haben. Macht nichts, dann müssen wir halt wieder kommen !!!

Wir hatten ein bay view room mit schöner aussicht auf den ocean. Der room ist nicht so gross und das bad unpraktisch und eng. Das frühstück war sehr gut. Die besitzer sind deutsche und sehr nett.

Super Guesthouse, tolle Lage, gerne wieder!!!

Wir kommen wieder! Gleich schon bei der Ankunft haben wir Wale gesehen, sehr beeindruckend! Die Lodge ist ein Traum, schön gelegen, tolle Zimmer und ein sehr nettes Team (besonderer Dank an Ardi und Brigitte). Wir haben den Aufenthalt sehr genossen, das Frühstück war hervorragend (auch hier konnten wir die Wale bereits beobachten) und auch die sonstige Bewirtung hat sehr gefallen. Über die Zimmer ist ja bereits in den anderen Bewertungen ausführlich berichtet worden - einfach toll!! Wir haben in De Kelders das beste Steak aller Zeiten gegessen (Empfehlung von Brigitte).

Elegantes, kleines Hotel in herausragender Lage

Ein tolles Hotel mit liebenswerten Gastgebern und einem ausgezeichneten Frühstück. Die Zimmer sind liebevoll und modern eingerichtet. Das Hotel bietet einen direkten Blick auf das Meer und erlaubt Walbeobachtungen direkt vom Zimmer. Absolut empfehlenswert.

Very much enjoyed our 2 night stay here - it felt like our own private villa at times. Very convenient for shark cage diving at Gansbaai and the most amazing beach just 5 mins away. Maxy the dog is wonderful - we were tempted to take him with us!

Fantastic 5 star guest house

The accommodation really is fantastic and worth it's 5 star rating. Great views from the balcony and lounge and an amazing massage chair in the fitness section. The warmth and friendliness of Ardi (the owner) and his staff made our stay an exceptional experience, their message to us was clear... "make yourselves at home and do not hesitate to ask should you require anything". We would definitely stay again.
