I presented a print out of my Expedia confirmation pages to the staff behind the counter. He frowned at me and said he couldn't find my reservation. He did not go on to explain what I could provide to assist his search. I took out my driver's license and handed it to him. That seemed to do the trick. He gave me my room key, handed me two bottles of water without saying another word. I got a much more friendly greeting when I stupidly tried to check in at the Motel 6 across the street! The check in did not match the extremely nice ambiance of the hotel."
