"From the moment we arrived we were greeted by a friendly member of staff. The room was very clean and spacious. The bathroom had a wet room lovely bath and even a TV built in. In the bar area the bar staff were very attentive and cheerful, such a pleasure, and there was a lovely lounge style area in which you could enjoy your drink and chat. Later we went through to the dinning area that has a lovely feeling to it. The waitress was very attentive and so polite, talking time to chat to us. The food arrived quickly and was wonderful, well presented and fresh, just the right size of portions. The breakfast the following day didn't disappoint either, great choice and very fresh. Great way to start the day. We are looking forward to returning soon and would highly recommend a stay there to anyone. All the staff and management were a credit to the pub/hotel. 10/10"

"Lovely property with good parking. Nice outside spaces. Check in was a breeze with friendly owners on the front desk to show me around the place and to my room. Breakfast (as others have said) was fab with really nice quality food and really tasty coffee but the hot food is cooked to order so don't expect to walk in and just eat! The bedroom was good, nice and clean with a comfy bed. My only downside would be that it could do with better blackout curtains as I was awake before the alarm!"

"Excellent - atmosphere, layout, decor. What a lovely place. Staff were extremely welcoming, design of the room was lovely with everything you could need. Even a fan! Only tiny issue was it was a very hot night and the window is very small and therefore it was very difficult to circulate cool air. Breakfast was delicious. Would certainly recommend and would definitely stay again if in the area . "

Great location, friendly staff

"We only stayed for a night and it was hot, but the room was airy with the window open a little. The staff were friendly and helpful. Unfortunately I hadn't realised breakfast was included because we'd have got up a little earlier but we managed a piece of toast before we had to checkout. The main road outside is a little noisy but it seems that entertainment in Middlewich for youngsters is limited to driving around... However, the Boars Head was still a great place to stop over before our canal trip!"
