This was a great place. It was close to rhe National Park but had some amenities on site. We dis the dinner show and it was very entertaining. The rooms are a bit small but there is so much to do that being in your room hardly seems appropriate. Would stay here again.
Nenana river behind cottages offer stunnibg views. Restaurant on property had decent food. Friendly staff. No AC in the room. There is a portable fan. We had to keep.the window open so eye mask is a must.
Very nice place. Shuttle gives 6 mile ride to Denali National Park, but has shuttle service from hotel only at 8:00, 9:00, 10:00, 11:00, 2:00, 5:00. No Uber or Taxis are available. Food is somewhat limited as there isn’t much other than the lodge restaurant and burger place. Food is mediocre and somewhat expensive. Thai food truck and Chinese food truck at the Denali Bear across the street is excellent.

The facility sits on a gorgeous piece of property with a river running behind it, a walking path, and an education center that can be used by young and old to study the surrounding area. Our room was old, blinds were tattered, it was however clean.

Loved being on the river! Front desk said we were on 1st floor but our room was actually on 2nd floor. We didn’t have any hot water at 8:30 in the morning to shower. Nice lobby area but restaurant/bar was only open till 9:00. We ended up having to go elsewhere to eat a late dinner. Overall it was a good place and would stay there again

The hotel has just opened for the season. Staff is less experienced and goofed up with our checkin money transaction and also our transfer to railway station. The shuttle left us and went with our luggage. All though they sent a special van to drop us. House keeping is not available on day to day basis. Though the hotel is good. Very nicely made and located but they need improvement in some areas. Also we are vegetarian and it would be good if they have some more vegetarian options.
Front desk staff were my least favorite staff members. The food servers were a 10 out of 10 and the true stars of DPV. There should be a late shuttle run in the evening too, past 8pm. Add Eggs Benedict to the menu and spaghetti noodles too for kids. I don’t know of a kid who likes linguine pasta, which is the only option they offer. DPV needs to invest in an onsite backup generator too. Both power and water went out during my stay; I wasn’t offered a credit on my bill for the inconvenience it caused—I had four occupants in my room! The puzzles in the lobby should be Alaska themed. And why would you stock a gift shop with products made in China! Find USA made products!!! Maybe add a cigar bar onsite.
Cute lodge next to a river. The room was cozy and the staff was kind and friendly. First time stay at this lodge and would recommend the place to family and friends.
Rooms are very small but functional. Highlight of the hotel is the proximity to Denali and river behind it. We did not eat at the property, instead went to Healy area. Thai truck across the street is good too.
Needs to accept cash or let meal charges be charged to room. No air conditioning! It was very warm and provided fans not much help unless window and blinds open. Hard to sleep with no darkness and noise from outside.
Decent lodge with all the facilities required but was a little dark and also a lot of road noise from a nearby bridge as well as noise from the railway.
The restaurant was decent food but because of the large groups and open plan style did not feel particularly cosy / intimate as a restaurant.
