"We have stayed at Astor house before so we came back to the same apartment. They had upgraded the sofas to recliners which was a nice surprise. The apartment itself is easy to get to clean and Torquay town centre is a short walk away. It has a great view over the beach side of Torquay and the area is quiet. The place is clean and well maintained and the host kindly provided some biscuits and milk. I would highly recommend this place."

"The advert on the hotels.com website did not match the facts of the stay. The advert states free parking it was not it cost me £30 for the stay. We spoke to the owner who stated that the advert was not placed by him. It was the fault of hotels.com as he does not use them you get your info from a 3rd party All I know is that I am £30 out of pocket. The stay was good as I can not blame hotels.com for all the rain."

"The property was easily found by using a Sat Nav. The property inside and outside was very clean. There is a narrow gravel drive up to the property so Parking was in the village square which was a short walk around the outside of the pub, so not recommended for disabled as there is also steps up to the entrance door. "A really great location, albeit up at big hill from the centre of Torquay - but this meant lovely views and a quiet neighbourhood. The house was spotlessly clean, the added touches like premium tea and coffee was really appreciated, beds were so comfy and the whole place felt really spacious. Would stay here again if visiting Torquay."

As with most large old Hotels on the coast a little tired and in need of some TLC but good value for money considering breakfast included and Bar with a view onto the promenade and large outdoor seating area.
