Holiday Inn Express South Burlington Downtown by IHG
8/10 Good
"Pool was still covered on July 4. Glad I didn’t have any kids with me expecting to swim. Property is okay otherwise. They tried to get us to agree to no housekeeping when we checked in (this means you’ll be retrieving your own towels from the front desk), which along w the pool being locked up tells you they’re probably on a shoestring budget."

10/10 Excellent
"Property has a pristine location in front of Lake Champlain and 5 minutes away from Church Street. Location is excellent. Staff is very cordial and eager to please with any request that you may have. The housekeeping staff is fabulous, very helpful and nice.
They do accept pets in the hotel and there was a barking dog in one of the rooms of my floor. I did not report it because it was on my last night of the stay and I was leaving the next morning. I am a highly allergic person and every time I enter the room I would cough and sneeze, I believe its because of the rug and the past pet visitors. I would suggest a deep cleaning to the rugs after pets visit. Nevertheless the housekeeping staff came over to "detox" my room every time I called and they were very diligent."
"This was a repeat stay for us and I was just as impressed as the last time. In our room the decor is very tastefully done. Simple, beautiful and welcoming. The room was very clean, comfortable and the AC worked well!! (Outside temperatures were high while we were there for 2 nights.) I especially love the staff who are very friendly and accomodating. The last time that we stayed I remember reading in their menu that it was their "immense pleasure" to serve us, and it shows. It felt so much like home that if I had had a thank you note with me I would have left one on the bed with all of my compliments. :D The breakfast (included) was not the usual fare. This was a beautiful, artistic, gormet breakfast complete with 2 choices of fritata, along with fruit, bagels, muffins, home fried potatoes, etc. and a choice of indoor or outdoor seating. (Okay, the indoor seating did not appear to be air conditioned, and the outdoor seating was wet with dew, which could be tended to, but honestly the atmosphere makes up for it. ;))"
"Brittany at the front desk was great. So very helpful with recommendations of things to do in town.
I would 100% say again the next time I come to town."
"Very nice property and within walking distance of restaurants and shops. Their restaurant was quite good with reasonably priced options and drinks. We sat outside on the deck, which was great. Room was very nice and bed was comfortable. Could use extra sleeping pillows. The bathroom could be upgraded - but it IS an old inn.
Staff were all excellent and very helpful!"
