Good value for cost of room

Hotel was comfortable and clean . Large spacious rooms - bathroom was clean as well. Staff at check in presented quite irritated that she was working - no welcome etc . But nothing that would if changed our stay . Lots of amenities around the location for eating and shopping . Starbucks/ Carabou coffee etc.

Our room smelled like raw sewage. My sister booked a double room and they were very rude in saying even though she paid extra for a double they aren’t guaranteed. She ended up in a suite but it still only had one bed. My brother and his wife had multiple attempts of people coming into their room, tv turning on in the middle of the night. Front desk said when they finally called to inquire about why they kept checking out their room “sometimes the system just does that” No apologies were offered for the multiple bad experiences.

The only negative was the elevator was a shade shaky between the 3rd and 4th floor and they started cleaning our room out before we checked out (and yes it was before check out time). Other than the the hotel was clean, super quiet and great location.

Perfect place for an overnight girls night

My 19-year-old and I wanted a neutral place, And we picked the Hyatt in West Des Moines to hang out for a night. We enjoyed it thoroughly and everything went well. It is clean and people are friendly.
