Hotels with Views in Barbados

"Fantastic hotel in a good location a short transfer from the airport (approx. 20 mins), however there is not a lot in the immediate area surrounding the hotel. Staff were very friendly and welcoming, nothing was too much trouble for them and a big part of the hotel's appeal. Quality and selection of the food in the a la carte restaurant was excellent, as was the drinks selections in the bars. At time of visit hotel wasn't too busy, plenty of sunbeds and space by the pool (though people still "reserved" beds unnecessarily) which added to the appeal as I would guess at peak times it could get busy. All in all had an excellent holiday, highly recommend and would return. P.S minor gripe and probably first world problem, some fans by the bars wouldn't go amiss, for which the staff would also be appreciative. "

"Room was cleaned daily. The property is rather dated. The hallways carpet 2nd floor needs a complete changing. Trash was left at trash can on 2nd floor coming off elevator for two days. Cleaning cart was left in hallway as well for two days. At bar someone paid good money for a coke and waitress filled glass with ice, left half coke in bottle, took glass drink to customer, left remaining drink on bar. My husband and I vowed to never buy bottle drinks from bar again, nowhere after that. Pool area was clean and inviting, especially for kids. Need to spruce up the reception desk for welcoming guests. One area behind desk need either repair or some design features. Guest services were very helpful and friendly. Staff overall were friendly. It’s just that the property needs upgrading. Hallway light on 2nd floor at night is rather dim. Purchased two cheeseburgers kids meals for grandchildren at pool area and was pleased with what they got for cost. Comparable to fast food in US. We ate all other meals outside of property."
