"Umaya is a great place to stay if you want to just relax. The food options are limited but they do have a good dinner. The down side is that it is far from the main village of placencia and they only offer two times of free transport otherwise you have to pay. Rooms were clean and spacious…we love how our room was right off the beach and pool."

"No acess to beach, wait staff were very friendly, however the delivery of food was extremely slow even when no one was there but you. We felt that the staff did their jobs very well.we stayed 10 days and enjoyed our stay and our villa looked just like the pictures. "

"Authentic hotel to stay at. Beautiful. Note, there is a lot of seaweed so you can’t go in the water. Well you can a little on the left hand side. There are a lot of waves. I saw a couple go to the pier and jumped in for their daily swim. Also, the price for diner or anything you purchase at hotel from spa to food or anything else, it’s US Dollars. The other nearby hotels had Belize prices. I ordered ice cream from Roberts Grove and it was $8 US dollars. Hotel nearby charged. Belize dollars which...
