"I know Hilton Garden just bought and remodeled the property, but the pool was very dirty, the supposed pool service was non-existent. I called for pool service and was hung up on. Second call the lady was extremely nice and helpful, but my order never came and at almost an hour I called and canceled the order because we were headed to dinner. She was very apologetic and sorry. I don’t blame anyone except well, we were so thirsty and it was 97 degrees and no outside food and drink allowed, so yeah they sucked. No blow dryer in the room. No ATM on the premises. Housekeeping started tapping on door rooms about 8:30 AM all around us and even though they didn’t tap on ours there must be no insulation because it was SO loud. We our VIP through Expedia so they gave us a noon checkout. At 11:55 she was tapping on our door. Just annoying. Room was spotless and the price was right. I’ve been staying there for 30 years when it was the Monarch, and appreciate the updated rooms and remodel. Nice black out curtains. Nice layout. Nice makeup mirror lighting, night light, great temp control. It was getting dated as the Monarch. My hope is Hilton gets de Fuego, the in-house restaurant, on track for better pool service. If you want late check out its half the cost of the room rate so about $70. That seems reasonable. Just a head’s up. Pillows were phenomenal. Bed was no box spring on a wooden platform which I loved. Comfy but firm without being too hard. Thank you. Overall 8/10."
