Vila Nova de Foz Côa

"This is hands down one of the prettiest and coolest properties you can stay in, in rural Portugal. The property, room and pool and service was amazing, but the town itself situated in is also just one of the coolest experiences. So many handmade items included in your stay and available to purchase. The host is amazing, super friendly and laid back. The grounds were beautiful, unique and has so much character. We stayed here for a night after taking the train into Pochino and it was one of the...

Torre de Moncorvo

"Andre and Susanna have created a stay that is unique and special. The house is a gorgeous restoration—easily one of the most beautiful spaces we've stayed in. The hospitality was warm, generous, and sincere. We were treated to a taste of Moncorvo’s traditional regional culture. Perfect location for exploring the Coa Valley rock art and the Douro wine region. 10/10!"Andre and Susanna have created a stay that is unique and special. Hotel Conde Rodrigo II by eme hoteles

8/10 Good

"Cuartos sin cortina dos opacos/blackout que impidan la entrada de luz y sin wifi o una extremadamente pobre. Temas no compatibles con un hotel que pretende la categoría que publicita. El resto muy bien"

Foz Côa Story House

10/10 Excellent

"Ultra modern hotel . Terrific staff who was everywhere to make our stay more enjoyable including preparing a fabulous breakfast early to meet our schedule They arranged transfer from Pocinho to the hotel, then the coa museum and back to Pocinho. Our taxi driver-Roy-was always on time and very helpful. Taxi company was Jorge …."

Casa da Avó - Turismo de Habitação

10/10 Excellent

"A delightful historical villa, which has held its old charm with the decor and furnishings. A very homely feel with a goid continental style breakfast. Coffee machine provided both caffeine teddy and decaffeinated coffee. There was a very good selection of teas. In the heart of the small town; parking was on street and felt safe, even for the motorcycles."

Casa do Rio Wine Hotel - Vallado

10/10 Excellent

"Our stay at Casa do Rio was exceptional. There are 10 rooms with stunning views of the Douro River and vineyards. Our room was spotless and tastefully decorated, and we were welcomed with a plate of fresh figs and white port and all ingredients to make portonics. The grounds are lovely with an infinity pool overlooking the river and two semi private fresh water dunking pools. The food and was outstanding! We made our dinner selections earlier in the day and were treated to an exquisite 3 course meal complete with dessert and wine service. We were served a breakfast buffet every morning with fresh fruit and juices, cured meats and cheeses, an abundant offering of homemade breads, pastries and cake of the day. There were also eggs and meats prepared to order. The staff and service completed our stay. They were genuinely warm and gracious. From Felipe, the manager who greeted us upon our arrival, to the Daniel and Carlos, our food servers for dinner, to all of the other staff who contributed to our amazing experience. Wow!!"

Hotel Rural La Jara

10/10 Excellent

"Nice hotel, large rooms. We had 2 rooms. One had 3 beds in the main area and 2 in a bedroom. I didn’t feel like the AC worked great in that room, but it got cool at night so we just opened the balcony doors. The other room had 1 bed in the main area and 2 or 3 in the bedroom. All the beds are twins. Both rooms had kitchenettes. Breakfast was great!"
