"Simply poorly taken care of. What could have been a routine clean room was not really that clean. Old paint splattered onto furniture, curtains, and the floor. Since it was a bit dirty in appearance, I checked for bed bugs. As I’m glad to report not finding any, I did find the smoke alarm under the mattress. It was beeping as if the battery was low, but the battery was still in it. There was a smoke alarm in the ceiling, and I assume the staff saw it wasn’t there and installed another one, but obviously didn’t find the one that had been removed. This was my second time staying here, and will be my last. The previous time was about 2 years ago and wasn’t much better. While it is the only hotel to stay at in Commerce, it is worth the travel to Greenville or Sulphur Springs to have better accommodations. And, it’s unfortunate since it just needs a little TLC. Or a lot of it."

"The room was dated and carpet was not very clean. One elavator was broken and eventually the second broke down."
