Doddridge County Holiday Rentals

"The staff was wonderful. Especially helpful. The breakfast was very limited and cold eggs and cold sausage. Coffee was outstanding. Will try again though because of the staff. "

"We did not eat breakfast; breakfast area was questionable. No fruit, or individual milk bottle/carton. Parking was easy, coinvent, well lighted area and felt safe. We booked an efficiency std room w/ queen bed. We checked in @ 730 pm after driving over 10 hours and 600 hundred miles. The desk called our room around 1130 pm stating we were in the wrong room and charged to another person's credit card. I explained it was obviously issued to us by their management team and I paid via Hotel's.com with my credit card and a gift card prior to our arrival. He was very adamant we were in the wrong, was going to investigate further and call me back, which he did not. When we checked out the next morning the am desk clerk did not know anything about the previous night's call. The room did not have any hand soap in the bathroom or shower, only shampoo/conditioner in full size bottles."

"Our stay was an overnight between Huntington, WV and our home in PA. The accommodations were very good as was the breakfast."

"Overall we had a lovely stay. Our room was very clean upon check-in. The pool is large and warm! The food was overpriced but good quality. We ran into a couple minor issues. The hosts at Stillwates restaurant were one- the restaurant was nearly empty each time we ate there but the hosts acted like seating our party (12 people- celebrating a milestone anniversary) was incredibly inconvenient. I understand that large groups can be difficult to manage, but for our breakfast buffet (maybe 5 other groups seated in the dining room) when I asked one host if they could seat the 12 of us, she looked at her tablet, then looked at me and shrugged. It took her coworker to suggest a place to put us. The servers were all great though. We also had a drink spill in the lobby so I asked the front desk for some paper towels. He said they didn't have any, but that he would let the lobby attendant know. We ended up getting paper towels from the restroom to clean up, and continued to linger for another half hour, but the lobby attendant never came. I just expected more from a relatively expensive resort that clearly wants to cater to events like weddings and conferences."

"The floor wasn’t vacuumed. The shower curtain had black handprints on it. There was a dirty washcloth hanging up. The tub didn’t drain. Hair all over tub."

"The staff were really nice when checking in! There is a lot of amenities close by (like walmart, gas, restaurants and fast food). The room was very clean when we arrived and the breakfast had a great selection!"

"Hotel was disgusting rugs very dirty going to the rooms, first room we got no fire detector hooked up, found part of it in a drawer outdated (2012), they then gave us another room, door chain lock did not work, plug in bathroom sink broke, then get ready for bed and found 2 stink bugs just above the bed and another one on a different wall. Needless to say we were not a happy customer , I reported this to the girl on our way out, and she told me she wasn’t surprised, that other customers complain of the same issues, and nothing was ever done about it. Also upon arrival desk clerk standing outside entrance smoking with others, only time she seemed to go to counter was when a customer arrived. I cannot believe Hotels.com associates with hotels like this one!! "
