"This is such a dainty (in a good way) property. The color schemes, as you walk up to the property, are very uplifting. Our room was in the main building on the second floor. We were glad a staff member was available to carry our luggage up the stairs. There are no elevators. The reception staff were pleasant. Breakfast was included in our stay and was enough to get us started for the day. Pequot also provides guests with complimentary, freshly-baked cookies in the evening. The beds were comfortable. One morning we were awakened by the fire alarm. It was pure chaos...I saw one lady fall down the stairs, also saw an elderly lady throw her walker down the stairs as she struggled to get down the stairs. Meanwhile, a staff member was sweeping the front porch calmly like nothing was happening. I asked him "is it a fire?" and he shook his head "no". That calmed us down. Later we found out that someone was taking a very long shower & the steam from the shower set off the fire alarm. It was weird that Pequot didn't offer any credits for everyone being scared that the building was on fire. Anyway, it was a good hotel to stay at in Oak Bluffs. We were able to walk to some restaurants, Inkwell Beach and also to the Gingerbread houses from Pequot Hotel."
