"This is hands down one of the prettiest and coolest properties you can stay in, in rural Portugal. The property, room and pool and service was amazing, but the town itself situated in is also just one of the coolest experiences. "They surprised us with an upgrade and port wine for our anniversary, which was so nice and much appreciated. The view is amazing! We loved the included wine tour of Kopke, would recommend coming and staying here instead of doing a wine tour from Porto, it was such a nice relaxing experience. Highly recommend!!"

"We loved our stay here. The views are spectacular from all areas of the property. The road up to the b&b is tricky to drive but you are rewarded when you get there so it's totally worth it! We loved the pool, quite chilly but we stayed in August when the weather called for a nice chill dip. Sitting at the edge of that pool looking out over the valley was breathtaking. There is a lovely communal balcony area to relax in the evening, or enjoy breakfast on. We liked that there were not many people there, only around 5 rooms so quite quiet, and the staff go home at night. Breakfast was simple but fine for what we wanted., and you can bring your own food to keep in the fridge in the communal areas, where there is a fully stocked kitchen and lounge to relax in. We felt welcomed and there was always wine and port to try made by the vineyard on the estate which is fab! The room was perfect, great air con, ours was very private (we had read that some rooms have an open toilet which we did see in the other rooms on the top floor so maybe if this isn't something you would like, request one on the lower floor). Th bed was comfy, felt very luxurious with branded pillows and towels, and a balcony to look out from. I would have liked a chair or two outside ideally to make the most of the balcony and to dry towels and things. It was honestly wonderful and I would absolutely stay again!"

"The Vintage House is a beautiful hotel located conveniently on the banks of the Douro River where the tour boats depart. The rooms are very well appointed and the entire hotel ,pool and grounds are wonderfully maintained. The hotel staff were very friendly and helpful and the dining staff on the outdoor terrace provided very attentive service. The breakfast buffet was excellent and the menu for lunch and dinner had a great selection of food & wine. We really enjoyed our stay in this hotel and would highly recommend it to others."
