I didn't have breakfast, but the evening meal on the 1st night was very good and reasonably priced too - real ale also excellent. "A lovely rural hotel in the parish of St. Martin, about 10 minutes drive from the airport and 15-20 minutes from St. Peter Port. Located on narrow, winding roads, the hotel provides an excellent base for exploring the island. Reception is friendly, efficient and knowledgeable, rooms are nicely decorated, beds are comfortable, and bathrooms with walk-in shower are spotless. Efficient and capable staff freshen up the room each day. There is a pool and a large sitting area outside (but not in use due to inclement weather during our stay). As for clientele, La Barbarie appears to have a loyal following of older seniors who return annually. The hotel has ample parking and is serviced by a local bus that runs past the property. "
