Gay friendly Hotels in Kairuku-Hiri

"I have stayed here a couple of times in the past, but things have gone downhill. The shuttle person wasn’t at arrivals and I had to go hunting for the van (the Hilton guy was a great help). Housekeeping failed to come. Door battery went flat and I was locked out fin30 minutes with three trips to reception. But the main thing is that most of the facilities are closed for long renovations with only one temporary restaurant and small corridor cafe. The pool bar was closed even though not affected by renovations. None of this was mentioned on Expedia - but is on the hotels website. Location is still good with secure access to mall - but no longer a 4star plus hotel. There are now better options in POM."

"Travelled with family for a weekend to use the pool. Booked the two bedroom premium room. Check-in was delayed by an hour because staff could not figure out difference between included breakfast in initial booking. Very unprofessional in service and did not offer appropriate explanation, I had to pay for breakfast again even though Expedia itinerary had included breakfast in overall cost. Pool was only opened for an hour, and closed off for the remainder of the weekend due to cleaning. Guests were not informed of this when we checked in. Room was okay, towels and toiletries were provided only upon request. Room is at the back so could be accessed through stairs only. Restaurant staff for breakfast were also clueless for paid breakfast and we had to wait again for them to confirm with front staff."

"The staff were fabulous; very helpful and friendly, especially the cleaning staff and security guards (I met several, and they were wonderful and helpful). The room was a good size. It was clean. The bed was very comfortable. Lots of TV channels. It was nice to swim in the pool. Overall, it was a really comfortable stay. The location is excellent, right in the heart of downtown, with good security It is an older property, but it is maintained quite well. The free airport shuttle is fantastic. I recommend if staying in Port Moresby."

"A couple of days before my arrival i contacted the hotel to ask about shuttle - no response. I called, I texted, i used the expedia app etc - no response. I had the local hotel call them and expedia .. no response. I did not want to take local taxi to the hotel late at night so i had to book another hotel last minute - very expensive - all because they could not respond to any contacts. "
