"I reserved the handicap room since my husband is in a wheelchair. That room has a roll in shower which he was looking forward to since he has a hard time using his shower chair at home and when we travel so we left it at home. When we got to the hotel to check in at 4pm we were informed that the room had some sort of leak from above over the bed and we would have to be put in a regular room. They made a grand gester of waiving the upgrade fee of $12 since we would now be in a room with 2 beds. The room was nice but came with a tub with no shower chair or handicap bars. It was a horrible and scary experience for my husband to bathe. Also we were nowhere near handicap parking and the room entry had a lip that was a struggle to get into. We realize that it was not the receptionist fault but we felt that since it was known that morning that the room we reserved was not going to be available, that someone should have called so we could have been more prepared.
Also at 8am on checkout day I received a text message asking what time we would be checking out and then house keeping knocked on our door at 9:00. Checkout time was at 11am and we had scheduled our day so that we didn't need to rush. When I started to load our stuff just before 10am (cause now I had been disturbed and was not happy) it was a good thing I left my husband in the room cause they had already disabled our room key. Staff was friendly and room was clean but that is not everything that some people need."
