"Incredible! Without a doubt this hotel was the most amazing place we stayed during our two months in Portugal and Spain. It is located 10-12 minutes from downtown Elvas and is located all alone out in the countryside. Very quiet if you don’t mind chickens, donkeys and sheep but absolutely zero city noise. "This is not a 4 star property, it's 2 star at most. The property is spotless and the surrounding area is stunning. BUT there is nowhere to lounge and read a book in the sunshine only uncomfortable dining chairs. The bar/restaurant is basic. There is a beautiful courtyard outside the rooms where a simple breakfast could be offered and a coffee machine installed.This place could be fantastic. Some of the staff in the bar made you feel you were an inconvenience. It's such a shame."

We then left to find another place to stay. The lady called after 20 minutes but we had left by that time to find some where else to stay. She then sent very rude text messages to us - we do not recommend this place. "
