The Namkhan, a Small Luxury Hotel of the World

8/10 Good

"Great resort by the river however 5km from town along a dirt track road. So that makes it super quiet and relaxing but you are reliant on taxis or shuttle Staff try very hard and are charming There was a power cut in evening when I was there and there is no back up generator and I need electricity for my cpap machine And everything is expensive eg airport drop off $25 ..loca $8 But gorgeous views of the river and breakfast is amazing And special mention for Matilda yoga instructor"

Hotel Kiridara Luang Prabang

10/10 Excellent

"Fabulous views from this mountain side resort. Beautiful rooms & linens. Great breakfast. Professional, kind capable staff. Relaxing spa. Lovely infinity pool. Loads of steps!!! Short buggy ride provided to & from town! Excellent location for the best of both worlds."

LuangPrabang Pavilion Hotel & Travel

10/10 Excellent

"Excellent friendly, always smiling, staff! Comfortable clean room. Breakfast exceeded expectations. I'd prefer to be closer to the river and/or night market but the walk is ok!"

My Dream Boutique Resort

10/10 Excellent

"This was a great stay in Luang Prabang! Our room was very pretty and tranquil, although the WiFi didn’t work very well through the concrete walls. Rooms were dated but well-accommodated, cleaned every day, and they stayed cool throughout the day due to clever building design. Bonus points for the bathroom shower gel smelling nice :) The staff was great and accommodated from the start with a nice welcome drink. The breakfast was delicious - healthy, flavorful, and a little bit different every day. Be aware that the Expedia website says breakfast goes until 10:30 every morning, but it really closes at 10:00. The location was quiet - it was a 25 minute walk into the Historic District, but we were able to fix 2 bikes of theirs so the brakes worked and we used the shuttle once on our 4-night stay. Shuttles come every hour until 9:30 PM. We also rented motorbikes from the hotel one day, which made a trip out of town very easy. This hotel is located pretty close to the airport, but you don’t really hear planes! We also appreciated the free airport shuttle. We would stay here again- it was beautiful and quiet. Next time I might choose to spend a night or two in town as well."

Mybanlao Hotel

10/10 Excellent

"Mybanlao was a wonderful find in Luang Prabang. After booking, they contacted me to let me know that I would get included transfers to and from the train station as I booked a minimum of two nights. What a nice surprise. Once I arrived, I was blown away by the service and the friendliness of everyone I came into contact with. My room was very clean, spacious and up-to-date. The pool was so wonderful. The only negative is that there are not enough chairs around the pool. The golf cart buggy is a nice touch to transfer guests around the city as it was available most of the day at no additional charge. Breakfast had a variety of options and I was gifted a little box of cakes upon checkout. I didn’t want to leave."

Merry Riverside Hotel

8/10 Good

"My room was spacious with a balcony, the river view description was overstated. The staff were efficient and helpful with tours and things to see. The facilities were clean. There was a good selection of fruit for breakfast"

The Grand Luang Prabang, Affiliated by Meliá

10/10 Excellent

"Excellent hotel! Superb! Staff is very helpful and the rooms are very comfortable. The hotel is very peaceful and very new. Away from the busy streets of the city. We would come back again! Great experience"

Victoria Xiengthong Palace

8/10 Good

"Location 5/5. Property very good, but the Mekong suites don’t have a view on Mekong (unless you try very hard :). But the room itself was very comfortable. Acoustics isolation is limited so bring earplugs if you need them. Sometimes you may have some issues with the communication - all staff is very helpful but not always fluent enough in English. It’s 4 1/2 stars"

Mekong Riverview Hotel

10/10 Excellent

"Perfect location, helpful staff, quiet serene bedrooms, delicious breakfast outdoors with a view of both rivers. Could not be better!"
