Expectations had been lowered when just after check in the previous customer came back to the desk saying the room he had been given looked “lived in”.
Our room had an odd aroma which became worse when the ac kicked on. Turning it off helped somewhat, so no big deal as it was a comfortable evening outside.
When getting set for bed we realized that our shower had no rod or curtain. Both were stashed away in the closet. As it was now after 11 and we were leaving at 7:15 we made the best of things in the morning with clever aim and use of towels.
The breakfast was barely edible and sparse. When arriving back up in the room the tub had still not drained.
We will not be back and may be done with the brand as a whole, as there have been other borderline stays.
Seems as if franchisees are deferring maintenance."
